I endeavour to mention any damage. The size given is of the sheet overall, unless otherwise stated, which is the image shown including margins.
These are beautifully finished hand-coloured lithographs and they are recognised as being among the best of any bird prints. The pages are 5.4 x 8.8 inches (14 x 22.5 cm). The whole Meyer family produced these fine prints; Mrs Meyer joined her husband in making the drawings and she did most of the transfers to the lithographic stones. Their five eldest children appear to have done all the hand-colouring.
